Amanda Godda, Indigenous, 2spirit Artistic Director at Urban Mecca Media, has been in and around the business side of music for over a decade beginning in Ottawa promoting local acts… later graduating from Trebas Institute in 2016 Amanda’s experience spans across a host of areas including but not limited to; artist management/development, contracts, social media, marketing, sales, distribution, pr, networking, event and tour management, private funding/grants & consulting sectors.
In 2018 Amanda embarked on her own entrepreneurial journey and created Urban Mecca Media; Urban Mecca Medias’ philosophy is to breathe life into the careers of artists in need of direction and resources, focusing on Women, BIPOC and LGBTQA2+ artists primarily in the “Urban“ arena.
A social media aficionado and influencer, Amanda has grown from a “by any means necessary” street team promoter at Rammit Records to Operations Manager at an Ottawa based independent label, “Social Media Queen at Bring Ya Eh Game, an Artist and Affiliate Relations Manager with a private Canadian entertainment funding corporation, Mentor at CMW, Hospitality/Artist Relations Team Lead with Pride Toronto, Event Curator at TIFF, Public Relations at International Women’s Day Music Summit
